Q. What influenced you to buy the property ?
A. We built our home to raise our two children and now that they are independent, it is time to downsize! A lot of thought went into the design of the house as we wanted to take advantage of the natural breezes. We have 2.7m ceilings to allow the air to circulate and we put 1.2m eaves on the western side of the house to help keep it cool.
Q. What advantages are there living in your home?
A. It is a spacious, airy, family home. The design of the kitchen/family room fosters open plan living. The garden is easily maintained and there is room for a game of cricket or soccer.
Annandale is a fantastic suburb. It has five schools which offers great educational choice and it is close to James Cook University and The Townsville University Hospital.
There is a Multi-Purpose Room at the rear of the house which is currently used as a woodworking workshop. With some very minor renovations this could be a teenager’s retreat or a guest suite/granny flat.
